A very attractive solid silver Sauce Boat in a very distinctive art deco style. The sauce boat stands on three geometric feet and has a stylish geometric handle. Clear hallmarks are visible on the base for the Birmingham Assay Office with a date mark for 1939 and Lion Passant indicating sterling silver. The maker's marks for renowned silversmith William Neale & Son are also clearly visible.
This is a stylish sauce boat and feels good to hold in the hand. It is sturdy and practical.
