Woodbridge Antiques

About Us

Woodbridge Antiques Centre is a unique and gratifyingly surprising experience – a must for all collectors. It has everything going for it, starting with its wonderful location in Quay Street, just off the very heartbeat of this charming and historic market town. Then there is the bright and classy interior, the wonderfully varied stock, not to mention the friendly and enthusiastic staff who’ll ensure your experience is an enjoyable one.  Little wonder then that the Centre recently made The Independent’s ‘Top 50 Antique Shops in the UK’.

Upon setting foot in the Centre, you’ll be struck by its excellent presentation. The owner’s ethos is one of taking a modern approach – and this is conveyed instantly. The Centre reflects the vibrancy and passion of its youthful proprietor Natalie Smith. She opened the store at the age of just 26 with a clear vision. “From the beginning I decided that the appearance of the centre and the standard of the pieces were the most important aspects. The aim was to have a clean, bright feel to the shop, full of well-presented, quality items at affordable prices.” And just over two years on, the response to the Centre has been overwhelmingly positive.

Clean, well-lit glass cabinets encase the wares of over thirty dealers, some of them specialists in their chosen interests. Woodbridge Antiques Centre breaks from antique shop tradition with well-labelled pieces that are beautifully displayed, providing a real breath of fresh air. The layout of the showcases encourages a natural and steady flow to the shop, and with pieces highlighted in their own right one finds oneself drawn to them.

Despite being a relatively small space, the store expands when you concentrate on the detail, with very little in the way of furniture dominating the store’s capacity. The Centre specialises in small items and you’ll find a wide range of glass, silver, fine jewellery, costume jewellery, vintage hats and bags, clocks, barometers, pocket watches, militaria, pottery, porcelain, treen and vintage telephones, all marked with easy-to-read tickets. The Centre prides itself on quality and there is certainly a plethora of it, with the stock changing constantly, so there’s every reason to come back again and again. Staff are able to provide a personal and dedicated service, including a customer enquiry list, informing customers once a sought after piece becomes available. To send us an enquiry please click here
